I undertook the first piece of UK research on economic abuse in 2008. From this, I developed the Economic Power and Control Wheel, which demonstrates the variety of ways in which abusers use economic tactics to exert control. This has been translated into several languages (see below).
Since then, I have undertaken research both individually and with others looking at economic abuse in the UK and globally.
